Safety - Service - Results
Logic Geophysics & Analytics LLC is a woman-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned small business serving the globe from Anchorage, Alaska. Our commitment to you has three priorities: Uncompromised Safety, Exceptional Service, and Reliable Results.
Logic Geophysics' Capabilities Statement
Logic Geophysics is owned and operated by Dr. Esther Babcock, Ph.D. Esther grew up in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. She received her B.S. in mathematics from the United States Air Force Academy with a minor in French, graduating in the top 5% of her class with academic and athletic honors as well as cadet commander of the Air Force skydiving team. She subsequently served in the Air Force as an officer and pilot, including flying 62 combat missions in the single-seat A-10 attack aircraft supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. After her military service, Dr. Babcock earned her M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona and her Ph.D. in Geophysics from Boise State University. She also focused on water policy and public policy for land use and resource management in the American West. Her geophysical field experience spans the globe, from Benin, Africa; to Inuvik, Canada; to the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica; and throughout Alaska. Dr. Babcock has extensive experience with advanced data processing, including waveform inversion algorithms and multi-offset-radar data analysis and interpretation. She volunteers her time with the State of Alaska Veteran’s Advisory Council, the Geophysical Society of Alaska, and STEM outreach activities in Anchorage.
In her “spare” time, Esther enjoys running (and more running), skiing, camping, mountaineering, skydiving, boating, fishing, bird watching, and poetry.
